C Residences
The building exhibits a sculptural asymmetry, breaking away from conventional rectilinear forms. The slanted roof and irregular arrangement of openings add to the expressive nature of the design. The cantilevered balconies provide depth and variation to the façade while creating an interplay of light and shadow.
The use of pilotis (stilts) for the ground floor ensures an open and permeable base, likely for commercial or communal functions, enhancing the urban streetscape.
A combination of solid and transparent elements establishes a balanced dialogue between privacy and openness. The irregularly placed windows enhance the dynamic expression, while their varying proportions introduce visual interest. The large glazing and balconies ensure ample natural light, ventilation, and social interaction—crucial for student accommodations. The angled roof and upper-level fenestration suggest the inclusion of mezzanines or loft-style living spaces, optimizing space for compact student units.
The corner plot location is well-utilized, giving the building a striking presence while allowing for dual frontage.
Overall, the project reflects a bold and thoughtful approach to student living, merging architectural dynamism with practical, user-centric design.
